Zoe Leonard lives and works in New York

Among numerous solo exhibitions, two major exhibitions offered a large-scale overview of Zoe Leonard’s photographic oeuvre: Survey was presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York and Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles in 2018. Photographs travelled from 2007 – 2009 from Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland to Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, to Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, and to Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig, Vienna. Further solo exhibitions include MUDAM, Luxembourg and Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, both 2022, Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2015, Camden Arts Center, London, 2012, Dia: Beacon, New York, 2008.
Leonard participated in documenta IX and XII, 1992 and 2007, and her work was included in the 1993, 1997 and 2014 Whitney Biennials.
Zoe Leonard work is represented in numerous international museum collections.
