My name is Johanna Bretschneider, I am a German mezzo-soprano and I came to Naples to learn more about Italian music.
I was born in 1998 and grew up in a small town called "Esslingen," located near Stuttgart in southern Germany. I study opera singing at the conservatory in Karlsruhe and also successfully, 2021 I was a finalist in the singing competition "Bundeswettbewerb Gesang". I am currently preparing my Bachelor's degree.
What am I doing in the picture?
I was waiting for my performance at the "Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majella" and boh, what can I say - I got a nice 'applause! Whether I was really good or the Neapolitans just too nice! Find out for yourself and come to my concert where I will sing in German as well as Italian and in which there is everything from bittersweet suffering to gay vitality, Neapolitan songs from German operetta is all included! I look forward to seeing you!
