The project Omaggio a Mishima, 2016 is Isabella Ducrot’s homage to Yukio Mishima, the renowned Japanese poet and writer who is considered one of the most important playwrights of the 20th century. Hanjo is a timeless tale of love, loneliness and betrayal. Ducrot’s stage design provides the theatrical space for Mishima’s tale of a love triangle between two women and one man. At the same time, the minimalistic and yet highly multifaceted stage set offers an invitation to explore the fascinating world of Isabella Ducrot.
